The music genre soul/funk is one of the go-to genres that I choose to listen to when I would like to have a laid-back yet uplifting vibe. Especially in the summer. Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Tom Misch, Vulfpeck, Joy Crookes, Leon Bridges, Jungle etc. Speaking of Jungle, the female singer/writer, Lydia Kitto, who was the lead singer in their album "Volcano(2023)" released an album together with Loaded Honey & J Lloyd. This album is definitely the one I’ve been listening to the most this year. The entire album feels like it exudes an aura with subsided pastel colors that makes the album nostalgic to me. It might be the genre, the vocal textures, the mixing. It perfectly encapsulates a distant good ol' days that I adore.

音楽のジャンル、ソウル・ファンクは落ち着いた雰囲気でもテンポがあって明るい音楽が欲しい時によく選ぶ。特に今の季節にも合う。Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Tom Misch, Vulfpeck, Joy Crookes, Leon Bridges, Jungleとかとか。Jungleといえば、彼らが2023年にリリースしたアルバム"Volcano"のリードシンガーを務めたLydia Kittoが、Loaded Honey & J Lloydと一緒に新しいアルバムをリリースしててこれがとても良い。今年一番リピートしているアルバムの一つであることは間違いない。くすみパステルな色のオーラが出てる感じでとてもノスタルジック。ジャンルがそうさせるのか、ボーカルのテクスチャーなのかミキシングの妙なのか。経験したことのない'あのよき日々'をまとっているようでとても好み。
